Description
Monstera Peru is a rare yet vigorous-growing plant from the Aroid family, which is native to the rainforests of Central and South America, particularly found in Peru and Ecuador Its beautifully textured leaves have a distinctive wrinkled appearance with a glossy shimmer and sturdy feel. While it can thrive in a hanging basket, providing a totem or moss pole encourages larger, healthier growth.
Although mildly toxic to humans and pets, Monstera Peru remains a popular houseplant thanks to its striking mix of dark and light green foliage, which stays vibrant throughout the year.
Growing Conditions
Light: It prefers bright indirect light but will tolerate moderate shade.
Water: The plant requires moderate humidity. Make sure the soil is dry on top before re-watering.
Soil: It prefers nutrient rich, loose yet good moisture retention media.
Fertilizer: Apply fertilizer once monthly with a balanced fertilizer and more frequently during the growing period.
